| The Desktop Your staff begins work each day at their CMIS Corporate Desktop. Every user has a personal mailbox, a personal calendar, a personal address book and a company address book and a place for storing bookmarks. They have access to projects (explained on later pages), and company resources (information like benefits, policies, news and personal information). The entire site is organized in a hierarchy of conferences. As employees drill down into the hierarchy, different employees see and have access to different conferences. Employees may be organized in groups (sometimes by function, sometimes by authority). Permissions to see the hierarchy relates to these groups. Each group will see different collections of building blocks that make up your company. |
